Happy Valentines Day

Happy V. day to you all. This is not one of my favorite days. I think it is far to commercial and preferrably, I would want to get flowers and gifts because my other half wanted to give them to me, not because he felt obligated.

It was a wonderful day though. I actually had a lovely day with my boys. Dad's away, so this morning they woke up to chocolate kisses by their bed. I thought I would start their day with a bunch of kisses. After school, they played and I made a wonderful dinner. We had it by candlelight and I read them "Why I love you", a little letter I wrote telling them why they were loved by Mom and Dad.

Surprisingly, I received flowers from my husband. Surprised, because I thought after all these years, he knew that I didn't like to receive flowers on V day. However, with that said, I LOVE my flowers. Isn't it funny how just when you think you know what you like and want......things change. I'm tickled pink. And he remembered that carnations are my favorite. Big, HUGE bonus points adding up.

I love you, honey. Can't wait until you come home.

It's Official

Obviously planting season is not too far off. I can tell, because I can't sleep anymore. I wake up at ungodly hours of the morning, thinking about all that I want to buy this year, where it will go, what will have to be moved. This is just from viewing my gardening mag's that have come in. With the bright beautiful flowers available this year, what is a girl to do.

I hope that the next few months go by quickly, so then I can get busy. OH' how I want to garden again. It must be the lovely weather we are having.
