I have to say, that I don't normally get many pics of me and my boys. Or me and my husband, as one of us is always taking the pics. So to put all ideas aside, here is really what I look like. Especially with a California tan. This was on our winter holiday. 2 adults, 3 kids and a road trip to California for a month. That was a lot of fun. Our boys had a blast, and we learnt alot. We learnt that after all these years of marriage, (11), I still don't know how to read a map. Posted by Picasa

Ah, life is good. Not much blogging going on, as we are at the lake with the kids alot. They love tubing and we are trying to get them knee boarding. "S" just tried wake boarding, but bit it just after he got up, and is convinced that this is not for him. I know he thinks I'm just a little crazy for wanting him to try this stuff. It's how I grew up and I didn't turn out too bad. I little tick here and there is normal, isn't it..... Posted by Picasa
Here's our beautiful little biscuit at about 4 wks. She looks like a bobblehead. She's 5 wks now and running around. The countdown is on for her to come home, can't wait Posted by Picasa

Those moments as a parent, that your glad you are one....

I had one of those moments last week. Yes, they are few and far between at times, but I feel we have hit another milestone in our family. Our twins, who had their 7th birthday last week, and did something I feel was extra special. They decided that instead of gifts for their birthday, they would like to raise money for charity. They asked all who came, that if they would like to contribute, they could give money to their charities. K picked the SPCA and T picked the Vancouver Childrens Hospital. T has spent some time there and calls it his special hospital.

Well, all who came were so generous, that between what they gave and what the boys kicked in, they managed to raise $125.00 each for their respective charities. Wow..... Not only that, as part of their present from us, we said we would match the money that they raised. Okay, we were thinking maybe $40.00 - $50.00 dollars each. However, we are as good as our word, and now the boys have $250.00 cheques to send to their charities. Way to go boys, we are so proud of you.

They didn't even miss getting presents, because they knew they were doing something good for their communities. Bravo. Not only that, but a little girl at the party thought is was such a great idea, that she's decided to raise money for the Heart and Stroke foundation for her next birthday, in memory of her grandma, who passed away last year. Who says kids don't have power. They are amazing. Here's a picture of all the great kids. A huge thank you to all the parents who supported this. You made this a very special day for my boys and made all of us realize what could be achieved.
This is a beautiful rose this year. What a difference a year makes. This is Abraham Darby and it is as wide as it is tall. Love it Posted by Picasa
Tumbler tomatoes. Since I don't have a veggie garden yet, I decided to try them in hanging baskets. It works fabulous and fills in nicely at the end of my trellis. Posted by Picasa

My Endless Summer Hydrangea's. I waited 3 months for them, and they are worth every penny I paid. And oh, did I pay. But if I could afford more, I would buy more. Love, love, love them. Posted by Picasa
